Swat Valley is known as the “mini Switzerland”. Its landscapes are a proof of natural beauty and it was one of the most visited areas and had a major tourism industry. There were events which led to the downfall of the tourism which was one of the major sources of income of the Swats economy.largest city of swat is mingora.swat is also famous for its fresh fruits gardens,natural beauty,waterfalls,lakes,river.It is 314 km from Islamabad and 51 km from Saidu Sharif Airport.Kalam (Kalami, Pashto, & Urdu: کالام) is a valley located at distance of 99 kilometres (62 mi) from Mingora in the northern upper reaches of Swat valley along the bank of Swat River in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.Malam Jabba (also Maalam Jabba, Urdu: مالم جبہ) is a Hill Station in the Hindu Kush mountain range nearly 40 km from Saidu Sharif in Swat Valley, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan. It is 314 km from Islamabad and 51 km from Saidu Sharif Airport.You need to hire a SUV or Jeep with local driver from Kalam for mahodand. The Best time to travel for this lake is the morning time, you should leave around 9 am from Kalam so that you can easily reach there around 11 am but it depends on the weather and traffic. During peak season, it can take 3 to 4 hours as well.but now a carpet road from kalam to Mhodand lake is in construction.hopefully it'll be complete soon.

Kalam/Elevation..Trout Fish Farm at Madyan is one of the biggest trout hatchery in Pakistan. Its located on the Chail road Madyan Swat. Swati Trout Fish is very famous for its taste. There are two types of trout species in this farm one is common trout and one is brown trout. Brown trout is very delicious but its little bit expensive from the common one. .
